1. Step 1
    From the Assessments or Communication menu within a D2L course, select Discussions.
  2. Step 2
    From the Actions dropdown menu next to the Topic Title, select Assess Topic.

    Note:

    To learn more about linking grade items to Discussions in D2L, visit Associate Assessment(s) to Gradebook. To learn more about associating rubrics to Discussion in D2L, visit Rubric Association.

    Assess Topic selected for the topic to be graded.
  3. Step 3
    Select Topic Score under each user’s name.

  4. Step 4
    Enter the Overall Grade and Feedback.

  5. Step 5
    Select Publish to publish the score, or Save Draft to release the score later.
