View and Correct Accessibility Issues
To view and correct accessibility issues for a file in D2L, select the accessibility indicator within D2L Content. This will open the feedback panel which displays the files accessibility score, identifies accessibility issue(s), and provides step-by-step instructions for correcting accessibility issue(s) to improve the overall accessibility of the file.
- Enter a course in D2L.
- Select Content.
- Locate the course file for which you wish to view and correct accessibility issues.
- Select the Indicator Icon for the course file to open the feedback panel.
- Review detected accessibility issues by selecting “What this means” and “How to…”.
- If multiple accessibility issues are detected, select All issues to view all.
- If multiple accessibility issues are detected, select All issues to view all.
- Locate or download the file out of D2L, and open the file within the program in which it was created
(i.e. MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.).
- Select the software and follow the step-by-step instructions to correct the identified issue. Repeat
this step for each identified accessibility issue.
- After correcting all accessibility issues, save the file.
- Return to the feedback panel in D2L, and drag and drop or upload the updated file into D2L to replace the existing file.
