In Case You Missed It: Email Changes in D2L- Coming May 2026

Faculty, at the start of the summer semester LCC announced that in May 2026 faculty and students will no longer need to check email in two accounts. Faculty LCC email will be integrated with D2L, so that you receive all your email in your LCC Outlook account. Students will receive all their email in their LCC Gmail account.

Summary of Upcoming Changes

• Starting May 13, 2026, D2L will become a “send only” environment. You will receive and reply to email only in your LCC Outlook account.
• All email in the D2L inbox, custom folders, and trash will be deleted, and neither eLearning nor ITS will be able to retrieve them. All your Sent Mail will remain in D2L.

Prepare Now

• Forward your D2L email to your Outlook account to automatically save new messages.
• Manually save important emails in your D2L inbox, custom folders, or trash before May 13, 2026 by forwarding emails to your LCC Outlook account.
