Explore What's New in D2L This Fall!

There’s more to explore in D2L this fall! Check out the latest features and eLearning resources available to support teaching and learning at LCC.

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training for Students: Promote the AI Ready: Skills for College, Work, and Life ​ training to your students, or share the AI Training Promo video ​ . 
• My Courses Widget: The My Courses Widget, located on the D2L Homepage, now includes filters for All, Pinned, Master Courses, or current and previous semesters.
• Quizzes: Students can now flag/bookmark questions to review and select the strikethrough icon  beside answer options to eliminate choices believed to be incorrect.
• ReadSpeaker: ReadSpeaker is now available on the D2L Homepage for additional text-to-speech and reading support.
• Rubric Icon: Activities with attached rubrics now display a rubric icon in the Assignments, Discussions, and Quizzes menu pages.

Reminder to Instructors

• D2L Email was updated in May 2026, and is now "send only".
• Start all emails from the D2L Classlist.
• Emails automatically populate the subject line with the course title and CRN for course identification. Do not delete the course title or CRN from the subject line.
• Faculty receive and reply to student emails in LCC Outlook.
• Students receive and reply to faculty emails in LCC Gmail.
• Can't find an email in Outlook? If you use Outlook Folders and Rules, ensure you are checking the correct folder and that your rule is set up properly.  For more information, view Create an Email Rule in Outlook for Incoming D2L Emails ​ .
