What Lumi Sources From

Lumi Will Read:

  • HTML Pages in D2L
  • Most file topics (.doc, .docx, .odt, .pdf, .ppt, .pps, .pptx, .ppsx, .odp, .xls, .xlsx, .rtf, .txt)

Lumi Will NOT Read:

  • Kaltura Videos
  • Websites outside of D2L
  • LTI/Third Party Tool Integrations

Note:

D2L recommends input submitted to D2L Lumi be in English. D2L does not prevent non-English language content from being submitted as input.

Security and Privacy
  • Lumi only sources from what is in your course, or text that you input during the generative process.
  • Lumi uses the same level of data security used across D2L.
  • No customer data is used to train the large language model (LLM).
  • Intellectual property is not stored.
  • Nothing is automatically placed in course. ”The human is kept in the loop”.
