Smart Import provides the ability to leverage AI technology to automatically create interactives based on media or text formats provided. Interactives can be customized and reviewed prior to being added to a course.

  1. Step 1
    From within a D2L course, select Content.

    From the Table of Contents, select a Content module.
  3. Step 3
    From the Existing Activities dropdown menu, select H5P.
  4. Step 4
    Select Smart Import.
    Select Smart Import.

    Select Create Content.
    Select Create Content.

    Select the source for Smart Import:
    1. File
      1. Select File.
      2. Select Choose File and select the file.
    2. YouTube
      1. Paste the URL in Link to YouTube video.
      2. Select Next.
    3. Wikipedia
      1. Paste the URL in Link to Wikipedia page.
      2. Select Next.
    4. Web Page
      1. Paste the URL in Link to any web page.
      2. Select Next.
    5. Pasted Text
      1. Enter a Title.
      2. Select Text.
      3. Enter the text.

    If desired, add details to the Customization box.
  8. Step 8
    Select Next.
  9. Step 9
    Select the activity or activities.
  10. Step 10
    Select Generate.
