Audio Descriptions required for videos in Active D2L courses effective April 24, 2026. View support resources, training and more.

Beginning April 24, 2026, Federal Title II regulations require Audio Descriptions for pre-recorded videos containing essential visual information not expressed through audio to ensure content is fully accessible to blind and low-vision individuals. Multiple communications and resources have been shared, since December 2025, to support faculty in preparing for this change.

If you currently use video in your D2L courses, or plan to in the future, review the resources below to ensure your video content is compliant with Federal Title II Audio Description requirements.
