Final Semester to Prepare for D2L Email Change: Learn How It Impacts You!

Spring 2026 is the final semester to prepare for the D2L Email Change. Since June 2025, eLearning has advised faculty to forward D2L email to LCC Outlook and manually save important emails before they are permanently deleted on May 13, 2026.
If You’ve Already Forwarded Your D2L Email – What does this mean?
- From the date you started forwarding in D2L, all incoming emails to D2L are going
to your chosen email address (username@star.lcc.edu).
- Note: Important emails (i.e grade disputes) within your inbox and folders that were received before you forwarded your D2L email MUST be manually forwarded before they are permanently deleted on May 13, 2026.
- Important emails you have manually forwarded from D2L are stored in the email you sent them to (username@star.lcc.edu).
If You've Not Forwarded Your D2L Email – What does this mean?
- Your D2L inbox and folders will be permanently deleted on May 13, 2026, including all emails within them.
- Important D2L emails (i.e grade disputes) that have NOT been forwarded before May 13, 2026 will be deleted.
