Two Ways to Host Office Hours in Webex in D2L

Two Ways to Host Office Hours in Webex in D2L

Posted on February 04, 2026

Instructors can host Office Hours in two different ways in Webex in D2L! Choose the tool based on how you want students to meet with you:

Meetings (Open Drop-In Office Hours)

  • Use Meetings when you want a single “drop-in” room. Students can join and leave at any time during the scheduled meeting window.

Office Hours (Appointment Based 1:1 Office Hours)

  • Use Office Hours when you want individual student appointments. Create available day/time slots for students to reserve. Once a slot is booked, it is no longer available to other students.
