Insert Interactives

Create a File

Create a File is used to incorporate interactives within lectures, or when multiple interactives will be used in a single content item.

To insert an interactive to a D2L Content File:

  1. From within a D2L course, select Content.
  2. Navigate to the content module to create the interactive.
  3. From the Upload/Create menu, select Create a File.
  4. Within the HTML Editor toolbar, select the Authoring Tools menu, and select Interactives.

  5. Locate the interactive to be added.
  6. Select Insert.
  7. Add additional interactives, or other content, as desired.
Existing Activities

Existing Activities are used to add a single interactive within a content module. If set to be graded, this option will immediately create a grade item in the gradebook.

To insert an interactive from the Existing Activities menu:

  1. From within a D2L course, select Content.
  2. Navigate to the content module to add the interactive.
  3. From the Existing Activities menu, select H5P.

  4. Locate the interactive to be added.
  5. Select Insert.
