Prepare for Email Changes in D2L

Action Needed: Forward & Save D2L Email

Students, at the start of the summer semester LCC announced that in May 2026 students will no longer need to check email in two accounts. Students’ LCC email will be integrated with D2L, so that you receive all your email in your LCC Gmail account.

Summary of Upcoming Changes

• Starting May 13, 2026, D2L will become a “send only” environment. You will receive and reply to email only in your LCC Gmail account.
• All email in the D2L inbox, custom folders, and trash will be deleted, and LCC will not be able to retrieve them. All your Sent Mail will remain in D2L.

Prepare Now

• Forward your D2L email to your Gmail account to automatically save new messages.
• Manually save important emails in your D2L inbox, custom folders, or trash by forwarding emails to your LCC Gmail account.
