Adding Files From Google Drive Into D2L Content Via Add Existing Activities

  • To add a file from Google Drive into Content in D2L, you will have to login using your LCC Gmail Google account when prompted.
  • Adding files via Add Existing Activities inserts the file as a link. Therefore, the share permissions set for the Google file (such as View only, or Edit) will carry over. Be sure you have set the correct share permissions in Google.
  • Students will have to log in using their LCC Gmail Google Account credentials the first time only when accessing a Google file.
  1. From the course home page, select Content. Select Content from navigation.
  2. Navigate to and select the module you wish to add a file to.
  3. From the Add Existing Activities drop-down menu, select Google Drive. Select Google Drive from the Add Existing Activities menu.
  4. When prompted, enter your LCC Google account information.
  5. Select the file(s) you wish to add, then select Select. Select the file(s) to be added by selecting them.
  6. The Google file will be added as a link. Note: The share permissions set for the Google file (such as View only, or Edit) will carry over. Be sure you have set the correct share permissions in Google. The Google link will be added as a link.
