Content Creation and Management
Content Creation and Management provides instructors a way to create course materials and assignments in a clear, organized format using folders, modules, or units.
Create New Content
- From within a D2L course, select Content.

- From the Table of Contents, select a module.

- From the Upload/Create menu, select the option to use and follow the prompts to add content.
Note:
It is recommented to periodically test linked items to ensure that the link is working correctly and links to the desired content.

Link Existing Tools to Content
- From within a D2L course, select Content.
- From the Table of Contents, select a module.

- From the Existing Activities menu, select the option to use and follow the prompts to add content.

Manage Content Topics
- Within a module, locate the content topic to delete.
- From the title Actions menu, select Delete Topic.

- Select the radio button for permanently delete both the topic from Content and the associated file or activity
from the course.

- Select Delete.
- To Hide Content, repeat steps 1 and 2 of Managing Content Topics.
- From the title Actions menu, select Hide from Users.

Edit Content Topics
- Within a module, locate the content topic to rename.
- From the title Actions menu, select Edit Properties in Place.

- Select the topic title and enter a new title in the title field.
- To add restriction dates on a content topic, repeat steps 1-3 of Editing Content Topics.
- Select Add Dates and Restrictions.

- Select Add Start Date, Add Due Date, and/or Add End Date to set a date restriction.
Note:
You can use any combination of the three date options when setting a date restriction.

- Select Update.
Note:
The date restriction(s) will be added to the topic and set dates will appear in the calendar and upcoming events.
