Creating Accessible PDF Files

PDFs are a common file type to provide information in a format that many devices can open. While they are convenient, PDFs can cause barriers to accessibility if they are not intentionally designed and made accessible. LCC provides a variety of supportive resources to ensure PDF files are created with accessibility in mind!

Reminder! Learn more about new accessibility regulations for Audio Description for Video in D2L

Instructors, do you use video in your D2L course(s)? Federal Title II Accessibility Regulations will require Audio Descriptions for videos in D2L beginning on April 24, 2026. Attend one of the following learning opportunities to learn more about Audio Descriptions:
eLearning Live! Sessions: Online informational sessions hosted in Webex to learn more about Audio Descriptions, how to evaluate existing videos, and how to build-in Audio Descriptions for future videos.

- Thursday, April 23, 1- 1:30 PM, Registration Required
Audio Description for Video Office Hours: In-Person sessions in eLearning (TLC 1101) to get one-on-one assistance with Audio Descriptions.
