
Faculty are highly encouraged to post an announcement in Summer and Fall D2L courses to remind students of the new D2L Email workflow change. Sample announcement below:
Reminder: D2L Student Email Change
This is a reminder that a change to student email in D2L took effect on May 13. Students now:
- Send email from the D2L Classlist
- Do not delete the course title or CRN from the subject line.
- Emails automatically populate the subject line with the course title and CRN for instructor identification.
- Receive email in LCC Gmail.

- Start a new email in D2L from the Classlist.
- Find D2L emails in LCC Gmail.
- Reply to emails in LCC Gmail.
- Organize emails within LCC Gmail.
