Faculty are highly encouraged to post an announcement in Summer and Fall D2L courses to remind students of the new D2L Email workflow change. Sample announcement below:

Reminder: D2L Student Email Change

This is a reminder that a change to student email in D2L took effect on May 13. Students now:

  • Send email from the D2L Classlist
    • Do not delete the course title or CRN from the subject line.
    • Emails automatically populate the subject line with the course title and CRN for instructor identification.
    • Receive email in LCC Gmail.

  • Start a new email in D2L from the Classlist.
  • Find D2L emails in LCC Gmail.
  • Reply to emails in LCC Gmail.
  • Organize emails within LCC Gmail.
